    ABSTRACT: DTALARMD DOES NOT ALWAYS SHUTDOWN CORRECTLY

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Running DT_shutdown does not always shutdown dtalarmd cleanly
    resulting in the file ˝SYS_DIR/smapi_46.pid being left in
    the file system. On restart if the pid in this file
    corresponds with another process (not dtsnmpd) then DirectTalk
    will not restart.

    LOCAL FIX:
    Erase the file ˝SYS_DIR/smapi_46.pid. DirectTalk can then be
    restarted correctly.

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    DTALARMD DOES NOT ALWAYS SHUTDOWN CORRECTLY

    PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
    Change script DT_shutdown to zap dtalarmd
    using -15 rather than -2.

    ABSTRACT: DTXA ERROR 17301 OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    DTXA error 17301 can very intermittently occur due to a timing
    problem in the DTXA adapter microcode setup.
    This APAR corrects the timing problem.
