Designed for insertion into a .forward or .qmail file, autoresponder is
a simple email receptionist; it replies to any mail messages it
receives on STDIN with the response you specify in the command-line
arguments. Configured entirely through the command line on each
invocation, you can specify the from, cc, bcc, and errors-to addresses
for the reply, the file containing the response text, and whether or
not the original message should be attached to the reply.

New --ignore-subject and --ignore-from options, replacement of
--no-reply-to with --ignore-from, and the tool will ignore messages
based upon the result of matching patterns against the sender or the
subject. Matching is a Boolean OR; any match at all causes the incoming
message to be ignored.

GNU VCDImager is a program for making Video CD (and Super Video CD,
a.k.a. SVCD) images out of MPEG movie files. The images it creates are
ready to use with programs which understand BIN/CUE images, such as
cdrdao. GNU VCDRip allows for reversing the process, ripping mpeg
tracks from (Super) Video CDs.

mon is a general-purpose resource monitoring system, which can be used
to monitor network service availability, server problems, environmental
conditions such as the temperature in a room, or any number of things.
Resource monitoring can be viewed as two separate tasks: the testing of
a condition, and triggering some sort of action upon failure. mon was
designed to keep the testing and action-taking tasks separate, as
stand-alone programs. mon is implemented as a scheduler which executes
the monitors (which test a condition), and calls the appropriate alerts
if the monitor fails.

are also new monitors for Foundry BigIron/FastIron chassis devices,

unac is a C library and command that removes accents from a string. For
instance, the string été will become ete. It provides a command line
interface that removes accents from standard input or from a string
given as an argument. In the library function and the command, the
charset of the input is specified as an argument. The input is
converted to UTF-16 using iconv(3), accents are stripped, and the
result is converted back to the original charset. The iconv --list
command on GNU/Linux will show all charsets supported. It currently has
Perl, PHP3, and PHP4 interfaces.

changes:
When unac_string finds an illegal sequence while converting, it now
replaces it with a space. For instance, the 1/4 ISO-8859-1 character is
converted to 1 4 (one space four) because the fraction character does
not exist in ISO-8859-1. The new unac_version function returns the
version number.

mmtcpfwd is a stable port forwarder superserver for Linux firewalls
which starts a standalone, non-root daemon per service and supports
transparent proxying. It has the ability to limit connections on how
many IPs and connections per IP, to auto-DENY IPs upon an exceeded
connection threshold, and to fake services a la portsentry. It uses a
single configuration file and uses pthreads for efficiency.

extensively tested on several production systems. The way it handles
connection limits and DENYing has been rewritten; now connections to an
IP are all properly closed when denying. The possibility of a race
condition in threads sync has been fixed. The DENY command and message

transproxy bug has been fixed. Logged connection IDs are now always
unique, even for all ports being forwarded.

templates look like HTML with a minimum number of extra tags. The tags
look like HTML tags, and a template can be viewed unprocessed in any
browser. Pages can be built by a graphics person using a package like
Macromedia Dreamweaver, with minimal need to hack on the HTML directly.
Page styling and page engineering are separate, and are brought
together when output is requested. It runs as a CGI script with Apache
(and possibly with other servers, but this is untested). Web Templating
can run as an Apache "Handler", or be embedded into your own Tcl
scripts.
