[042] - The XML C library for GNOME 2.4.1
by DV (http://freshmeat.net/users/danielveil/)
Saturday, July 28th 2001 14:34
About: The libXML library allows you to manipulate XML files. It offers SAX
or DOM tree generation interfaces. It supports XML and HTML (real world
ones) parsing, flexible DTD validation, XPath, XPointer-XInclude, and pull
and push modes with FTP and HTTP modules. It's written in C and should be
fairly portable. The design is modular; most of the extensions can be
compiled out.
Changes: Bugfixes and a patch to save through HTTP PUT or POST.

[043] - The XSLT C library for GNOME 1.0.1
by DV (http://freshmeat.net/users/danielveil/)
Saturday, July 28th 2001 14:43
About: Libxslt is a C library for GNOME which allows developers to work
with XSLT. It is based on libxml for XML parsing, tree manipulation, and
XPath support. It is written in plain C, making as few assumptions as
possible, and sticking closely to ANSI C/POSIX for easy embedding. It
should work on Linux, Unix, and Windows. Though not designed primarily with
performances in mind, libxslt seems to be a relatively fast processor.
Changes: Updates to EXSLT support, a few bugfixes, and documentation
improvements.
