popular IRC bot Eggdrop. It can be used to include a list of connected
users on a Web page, or even to write a CLI PHP script that runs in the

About: Andromeda turns collections of MP3s into fully-featured streaming
Web sites. Many other file formats are supported, including: WMA, OGG,
MPG, AVI, and WMV. It can be used as a personal jukebox on a local network
or over the Internet (bandwidth permitting). It works well with PHP-Nuke,
PostNuke, and phpWebSite. Additional features include skins, custom
playlists, logons/accounts, and a search tool. Andromeda is also
multilingual, speaking English, German, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, and many

available.

Changes: A new preference has been added to optionally display track
numbers. The PHP version now supports a 'local file playback' mode when
running Andromeda on a standalone PC, which prevents the browser from
caching MP3s. Bosanski (Bosnian), Eesti (Estonian), Shqip (Albanian), and
Viet Ngu (Vietnamese) support was added. Numerous tweaks and minor
bugfixes were made, including the elimination of unicode markers in ID3
tags.

About: Belt is a foldable menubar that works somewhat like the "belt"
found on the Mac. It reads a simple configuration files, uses XPMs for the
buttons, and has a lot of options. While not as advanced as the similar
applications found in GNOME or KDE, it is rather lightweight and intended
primarily for use with windowmanagers that don't have easy dynamic
configuration options, like wm2 for example.

Changes: An autopost/autounpost feature was added, which extracts/retracts
the belt when the mouse cursor enter/leaves the belt area. The delay
between the cursor entering/leaving and the extraction/retraction of the
belt can be specified by the user.

About: Blackhole Spam/Virus Filter provides spam and virus filtering using
dot-files in all the major MTA/SMTP servers for UNIX and similar systems.
It is easy for an individual user to set it up with shell account access
and configure. It is different from other, similar programs, in that it
executes a minimal number of programs to do the filtering, is able to use
a MySQL database for the users' configuration files, can be set up as the
queue in Qmail, and have virtual users' configuration files be found using
the username/domain for the recipient. Multiple checks are available, and
there open options on how to treat flagged email. There is logging to
multiple entities, auto-expiration of flagged email, and scoring available
so that multiple checks require matches that add up before blocking.

Changes: Default Sophos Mime parsing was switched to use Ripmime (this can
be changed to the old in-sophos mime parsing in virus.h or MCONFIG). A bug
was fixed in My Email (good rcpt to addresses whitelist) where logging
wasn't being done. A new ability was added to execute an external program
and have a return value and args for it to be an extra spam check (it
could run SpamAssassin and such).

About: The purpose of the preview-latex package is to embed LaTeX
environments such as display math or figures into Emacs source buffers. By
mouse clicking, you can open the original text. After editing, another
click will just run the region in question through LaTeX and redisplay the
new results. It requires version 21.1 or higher of Emacs or XEmacs and AUC
TeX.

Changes: This is a consolidation release, containing mostly bugfixes. It
has to disable a broken security implementation that persists into version
7.05 of GNU GhostScript. One new feature is dumping of precompiled
preambles in order to facilitate faster regeneration of previews. You can
do this via a key combination or from the Preview menu which has been
moved to the menu bar from the LaTeX menu. This further improves the
already impressive performance even on bottom-line computers.

About: empy (formerly Munch) is a system for embedding Python expressions
and statements in template text (or any other unexecuted content); it
takes source files, processes them, and produces output. These are done
via expansions, which are snippets of Python code delimited by character
sequences involving a special prefix (by default the at sign, ''), and
are substituted in the output with the return value (for expressions) or
with any in-Python printing to stdout that takes place (for both
expressions and statements). If the value of an evaluated expression is
None, nothing is expanded (that is, it acts like the interactive Python

About: IzPack is a powerful Java installer builder. It is able to create
lightweight and modular installers. You have the choice of the installer

About: Oww (One-Wire Weather) is a client program for Dallas Semiconductor
/ AAG 1-wire weather station kits, providing a graphical (animated)
display to monitor outside temperature, wind speed and direction,
rainfall, and humidity. Extra temperature sensors may be added. A 1-wire
"hub" may be used for improved reliability and range. Weather data may be
logged to CSV files, parsed to command line programs, sent to the
Henriksen Windows client, or uploaded to Web servers at Dallas, The
Weather Underground, and HAMweather.

Changes: For this version, a ring of 16 segments was added to the wind
vane central boss, each colored according to how many of the last 15
readings were from this direction. This gives a good visual representation
of both the average wind direction and the degree of spread.

About: OpenBiblio is an easy to use automated library system containing
OPAC, circulation, cataloging, and library administration functionality.

Changes: This release is compatible with PHP 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.
Unfortunately, it is no longer backward compatible with PHP 4.1.x (due to
session variable changes in PHP 4.2). Internationalization (i18n) has been
added to a few pages. This is not complete yet, but the base structure is
all there. OPAC functionality has been added. An automatic database table
creation feature has been developed. The customizable title image in
header was implemented.

transparent Eterm(s). Its purpose is to make setting up a "root tail" an
easy set and forget. Paralogger makes the placement of the terminals

load or save a configuration file.

About: ReadyExec is a client-server system designed to alleviate the
problem of high-startup-costing applications which are run repeatedly
(e.g., in procmail) and use stdio files, argv, environment variables, and
exit codes to interact with their environment. A small 'conduit' program
is used to send such process-specific information to the server, and acts
as an intermediary while the 'heavy' application code runs in the server,
only needing to be loaded once.

About: The Tamber project is a componentized n-tier Web site engine that
uses open languages such as XML and JavaScript. Content is stored in
separate XML files, in databases, or other data objects. Business
functions are carried out by JavaScript and ASP. Presentation is
controlled by an XSL transformation, which allows for delivery over
multiple channels such as HTML, WAP, and MHEG. Currently, Tamber can
deliver to HTML and WAP, and contains modules that support e-commerce
shopping carts, secure sign in, data access and conversion services, and
advanced session management.

Changes: A new library (ACCOUNT_LIB) has been added. It provides generic
accounts (customer,affiliate,forum and press) for site users. The database
has been re-organised in preparation for the various advertising systems
(AD_LIB, which will support affiliates, ad banners, and email) which are
going to be merged in the near future. Function place holders have also
been added to AD_LIB. The distribution method has also changed: core.zip
now contains the entire 'lib' directory. This means you can roll your own
site without have to get any more files.

About: Trash Can is a command line recycle bin for Linux/*NIX-based
systems. ksh, bash, or zsh is needed. It can remove files and restore them
in their original path, delete single files from the trash can,
automatically delete 'core' and 'dead.letter' files, automatically purge
the trash over X days old, empty the trash, and display the disk usage and
stored files. It is compressed to take up less room, and entire
directories can be restored/deleted. It will prompt the user if restoring
over an existing file. An installation script is included.

Changes: This release added code to insert the alias 'tmax' into a profile
to allow the user to change their trashcan capacity.

displaying 3D data over the web via browserplugins. It has support for

format) files if configured to work with the nist.gov x3d translators. It
also has support for stereoscopic view via "quadbuffer"-capable stereo

About: Xplore is a powerful and highly configurable Motif file manager
with an Explorer-like user interface. Besides the usual tree and file
views, xplore also has a "shelf", which is a kind of clipboard inspired by
the NeXT file manager, and a "log" pane for capturing output from launched
programs. The builtin automounter allows you to access removable media in
a transparent manner. Files can be moved and copied using simple mouse
operations, and you can execute type-specific shell commands when a file
is opened, used as the target of a drag and drop operation, or manipulated
using popup menus. File types can be defined in terms of arbitrary
filename and MIME type patterns. Full keyboard navigation is also
supported, including an incremental filename search facility. Last but not
least, xplore speaks all standard X11 session management protocols and
thus integrates nicely with most popular desktop environments.

Changes: This release features minor bugfixes, a few cosmetic changes in
the user interface, and a new command to quickly locate files listed in
the log pane.

Changes: This release fixes the "Save Copy" feature, a crash which
occurred when doubleclicking an error message at the end of a file with no
terminating newline, and a window focus problem related to the Find
dialog. Extra keybinding was added for the Alt-Tab feature.
