About: The AstroCam Network is an Webcam network for everybody. It
includes Webcams which are controllable over the browser. This software
includes the Web interface (CGI-based) and the server (C based) for this
project. Everybody can be a member of this net and can help to build the
biggest Webcam net on the planet. This package also includes a GTK
interface, but this is the old astrocam version, not a real member of the
astrocam network project.

Changes: Extreme speed improvements to the Web interface were made, along
with a complete new design. It includes the bugfix for 1.8.6 and some new

About: The GNU Compiler Collection contains frontends for C, C++,
Objective C, Chill, Fortran, and Java as well as libraries for these
languages. It is a full- featured ANSI C compiler with support for K&R C

About: Genetic Algorithm in Squeak is a genetic algorithm framework that
implements the operation of selection, mutation, and crossing-over.
Memetic-algorithm capabilities were added through an implementation of a
local search based on hill climbing and dynamic hill climbing. Mutation
operations are based on random gaussian-like distribution, so small
adjustments are more likely than drastic ones. Selection is implemented
with Tournament or with Roulette Wheel and Elite, in Roulette Wheel you
can chose Sigma Fitness Scaling or Linear Fitness Scaling. The modelling

About: Sagasu is a GNOME tool to find strings in multiple files. The user
specifies the search directory and the set of files to be searched.
Double-clicking on a search result launches a user command that can for
example load the file in an editor at the appropriate line. The search
can optionally ignore CVS directories. Sagasu is a Japanese word that
means "to search."

Changes: The buttons are disabled during a search to show more clearly
that the application is busy. The text fields are automatically selected
after a search to facilitate copy and paste operations.

Changes: This is a major rewrite of the whole system. Packages are now

base, devel, x11, and maninfo categories are also integrated to the
Collection system so those packages can easily be updated and/or
recompiled. All software packages have been updated to latest versions.
The install system has been rewritten and should be a bit more
userfriendly. There is now some documentation. This the first ISO release
for Alpha systems.

Users can now apply for a variety of accounts (customer, affiliate, and

on slow network links such as modem connections, provides more

About: tk150 is a multiplatform programming and cloning utility for the
portable Standard (Yaesu) VR-150 receiver. It can read the memory image
from the radio, display the information graphically, and save it to a
file. Memory channels may be exported to or imported from a .CSV
(comma-separated values) file.

Changes: Band edge frequencies may be changed to suit various locales
instead of the Japanese frequency allocations. The memory channel import
tolerates lines in a .csv file which are missing trailing fields. tk150
now supports additional Limit Search and Dual Watch banks and a VFO
frequency control.

About: VRML97 (Virtual Reality Modelling Language) is the ISO standard for
displaying 3D data over the web via browserplugins. It has support for
animation, realtime interaction and multimedia (image, movie, sound). Dune
can read VRML97 files, display and let the user change the
scenegraph/fields, and load and store x3d (next generation VRML xml
format) files if configured to work with the nist.gov x3d translators. It
also has support for stereoscopic view via "quadbuffer"-capable stereo
visuals.

Changes: This release works on Mac OS X. This port is based on
X11/glX/XFree86, and requires fink. With the current XFree86 4.2, the 3D
performance of OpenGL/Mesa3D is very slow. A G3 Mac typically delivers 3
frames per second when running white_dune.
