About: abcm2ps is a package that converts music tunes from ABC format to
PostScript. Based on abc2ps version 1.2.5, it was developed mainly to
print baroque organ scores that have independant voices played on one or

ABC language that make it suitable for classical music.

Changes: Minor bugs were corrected, brace systems can now have more than 3
voices, and the Portuguese documentation was updated.

About: Biferno is a new generation object-oriented Web scripting language
that allows developers the rapid implementation of dynamic Web applications
and of sites that offer a high degree of user interactivity. It is
implemented as a Web server add-on module that allows dynamic generation
of HTML pages; the result of the processing of the Biferno code by the
server determines the page content. A Biferno script is a server-side
script. It is also an "HTML-embedded" language: scripts can be written in
pure Biferno language, but can also contain HTML code segments between
Biferno code blocks. Extensive documentation for the language and the
runtime system is available.

Changes: The new xmlDoc class makes it possible to open, create, modify,
and validate XML documents. It is also possible to navigate their
hierarchical structure and to get or set content and attribute values by
combining xmlDoc with the other new Biferno XML class: xmlNode. The new
Biferno extension, jclass, allows Biferno code to invoke Java classes

pattern matching on meta-data. It extracts meta-data using libextractor
and builds a suffix tree to index the files. The index can then be

building the index and also reduced storage costs while maintaining
compatibility with the previous database format. It also fixed various

About: GKrellM-PMU is a plugin for GKrellM to create a battery monitor for
Macintosh PowerBooks and iBooks on Linux/PPC systems. Display includes such
things as dual battery support, time remaining, and a load graph.

Changes: This release now estimates the time remaining for inactive
batteries. This leads to a good overall time, especially if multiple
batteries are plugged in. Gkrellm-PMU adjusts its display correctly if no
batteries are available at all (guaranteed only if pbbuttonsd 0.6.5 or
later is installed). The chart would now be hidden if no batteries were
displayed. Last but not least, some worse bugs were fixed.

About: A Meta Window Manager is a means to write window managers. The

About: Mini vMac is a minor spin off of the program vMac. Its goal is to
provide the simplest usable emulation of a Macintosh. Mini vMac, like
vMac, emulates a Mac Plus, a Macintosh computer sold between 1986 and

used on recent machines, including nearly all of the earliest Macintosh
software. Like vMac, it requires a ROM image file to run, and so can be

About: NoMachine NX is a fast terminal server system based on the X11
protocol. In addition, NX also translates and embeds the MS Windows

writes POSIX compliant tar archives as well as non-POSIX GNU tar archives.
Star is the first free POSIX.1-2001 compliant tar implementation. It saves
many files together into a single tape or disk archive, and can restore
individual files from the archive. It includes command line interfaces for
the "tar", "Sun-Tar", "cpio", "pax" and "gnutar" cmdline syntax. It
includes a FIFO for speed, a pattern matcher, multi-volume support, the
ability to archive sparse files and ACLs, the ability to archive extended
file flags, automatic archive format detection, automatic byte order
recognition, automatic archive compression/decompression, remote archives,
and special features that allow star to be used for full and incremental
backups. It includes the only known platform independent "rmt" server
program that hides Linux incompatibilities. The "rmt" server from the star
package implements all Sun/GNU/Schily/BSD enhancements and allows any "rmt"
client from any OS to contact any OS as server.

Changes: Incremental restore has been implemented. This makes star the
first true incremental backup system that is tar-based and that passes
basic verification tests. Star now correctly sets permissions and
ownership for directories extracted via -xdir or -xdot. Star now correctly
detects read errors in files instead of reporting a shrinked file.

About: Usermin is a Web interface that can be used by any user on a UNIX
system to easily perform tasks like reading mail, setting up SSH, or
configuring mail forwarding. It can be thought of as a simplified version
of Webmin designed for use by normal users rather than system
administrators.

Changes: Support was added for sending mail via an SMTP server that uses
authentication to the Read Mail module. A check was added to prevent
multiple clicks on the Delete button in the Read Mail module, which could
cause the wrong messages to be removed. When PAM is used for
authentication, expired passwords are now detected and the user is
prompted to select a new password. A security problem that can occur at
installation time only, if the /tmp/.webmin directory has already been
created by a malicious user, was fixed.
