About: abcm2ps is a package that converts music tunes from ABC format to
PostScript. Based on abc2ps version 1.2.5, it was developed mainly to
print baroque organ scores that have independant voices played on one or
more keyboards, and a pedal-board. It introduces many extensions to the
ABC language that make it suitable for classical music.
Changes: In addition to a few bugfixes, this release introduces the new
commands '%%dateformat', '%%stemheight', and '%%textoption'. Notes are
diplayed as tempo values in Q: fields changes, such as 'Q:1/4=3/8'.

About: cutmp3 is a small command line MP3 editor. It lets you select
sections of an MP3 interactively or via a timetable and save them to
separate files without quality loss. Silence and ID3 tag searching are
also possible. For playback it uses mpg123. The program works with VBR

About: DirSync is a directory synchronizer. It takes two arguments: the
source directory and the destination directory. It recursively makes the
two directories identical. It can be used to make an incremental copy of
large data. For example, if your file server is in the /data you can make
a copy in /backup with the command dirsync /data /backup. The first time,
all data will be copied, but when you issue the command again, only the
changed files are copied.

hosting that can delegate the task of creating subdomains, email, and FTP
accounts to users for the domain names they own. It has support for many

Courier, Dovecot, ProFTPD, Webalizer, and mod-log-sql. It can also
generate backup scripts, calculation scripts, and config files using a
single system UID/GID, and monitor all traffic accounting per user and per
service. It is fully skinnable and translated into several languages.
Changes: This version brings: a flag to show/hide passwords in the GUI,
htpasswd/.htaccess generation during install (which is also less verbose
and more secure [now using mktemp]), SASL for Postfix (SMTP with auth)
support, and 404 error and domain mismatch catching when there is no vhost
but the domain points to the server IP (before, it was taking the first
vhost in alpha order). The logs are now dumped chronologically, so
Webalizer runs better (a script is available on the project page to repair
your past logs and stats).

About: The MIME Email message class composes and sends MIME encoded email
messages. It features user-definable headers and body parts, support for
plain text and HTML body, headers with non-ASCII text, HTML messages with

Return-Path header, and sub-classes for different delivery methods: mail,

About: OMNeT++ is a C++-based object-oriented Discrete Event Simulation
framework, primarily targeted at the simulation of communication networks
and other parallel/distributed systems. It includes a graphical network
editor, a network topology description language, a rich simulation class
library, multiple execution environments (both GUI and command line), a
result plotting tool, detailed documentation, many sample simulations, and
much more.
Changes: Message classes can be generated from concise .msg files. Several
distributions are added: continuous distributions gamma, beta, Erlang,
chi^2, student-t, Cauchy, triangular, lognormal, Weibull, and Pareto; and
discrete distributions Bernoulli, binomial, geometric, negbinomial, and
Poisson. Akaroa support has been added (Akaroa supports MRIP, multiple
replications in parallel). There are several other improvements.

PostScript printers. Its features are numerous, and it supports printers
connected to parallel or serial ports, or over the network through
AppleTalk, LanManager, LPD, and TCP/IP protocols. It accepts jobs from
Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, and Unix clients. If the input file is not
PostScript, it can pipe the input through a filter. PPR has been designed
to manage large numbers of printers with minimal operator attention. It

About: R is a language and environment for statistical computing and
graphics. It is similar to S, which was developed at Bell Laboratories by
John Chambers et al. It provides a wide variety of statistical and
graphical techniques (linear and nonlinear modelling, statistical tests,
time series analysis, classification, clustering, etc.). R is designed as
a true computer language with control-flow constructions for iteration and
alternation, and it allows users to add additional functionality by
defining new functions. For computationally intensive tasks, Fortran and C
code can be linked and called at run time.
Changes: Many things have changed since 1.0. The R language has acquired
namespaces, exception handling constructs, formal methods and classes,
much improved garbage collection, generalized I/O via connection objects,
and considerable improvements in the graphics area. The user workspace has
been reorganized, and so has the set of packages that ship with R. Several
"recommended packages" deemed indispensable in a statistical system are
bundled. In addition, there has been a large number of more specific new
functions, tweaks, and bugfixes.

files together into a single tape or disk archive, and can restore
individual files from the archive. It includes command line interfaces for

About: skyviewer is an OpenGL-based program to display HEALPix-based
skymaps, saved in FITS format files. The loaded skymaps can be viewed
either on a 3D sphere or as a Mollweide projection. In either case,
realtime panning and zooming are supported, along with rotations for the
3D sphere view, assuming you have a strong enough graphics card.
Changes: The OpenGL texture now maps one-to-one with the underlying
HealPix pixelization scheme. This means each HealPix pixel is now its own
color-mapped pixel when displayed. This allows the selection of a pixel

About: Nice is a new object-oriented programming language based on Java.
It incorporates features from functional programming, and puts into
practice state-of-the-art results from academic research. Among the
advanced features: parametric types, anonymous functions, multi-methods,
tuples, optional parameters to methods, design by contract, detection of
many errors during compilation (in particular, concerning casts and null
references). This results in more expressivity, modularity, and type
safety.
Changes: This release introduces several type checking improvements.
Assertions about the type of variables are used by the typechecker, so
that casts are not necessary. There are new library methods for list
slicing (l[1..2]), indexing relative to the end, and filtering (l[test]).
Underscores are allowed and ignored in literal numbers, like in 'long x =

About: XML to DDL is a set of Python programs that converts an XML
representation of a database into a set of SQL or DDL (Data Definition
Language) commands. In addition, it can examine the difference between two
XML files and output a sequence of SQL statements (normally ALTER
statements) to bring one database up-to-date with the XML schema. You can
also download the XML schema directly from the database. Finally, there's
a tool to convert your schema into HTML for documentation purposes. XML to
DDL currently supports the most recent versions of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and
