About: The abcMIDI suite consists of programs for turning ABC music files
into MIDI and vice versa, typesetting them as PostScript files, and
manipulate them in several ways.

[002] - amavisd-new 2.2.0
by Mark Martinec (http://freshmeat.net/users/mmartinec/)
Wed, Nov 3rd 2004 03:25
Communications :: Email :: Filters
About: amavisd-new is a high-performance and reliable interface between
MTAs and one or more content checkers, including virus scanners, and/or
the Mail::SpamAssasin Perl module. It talks to the MTA via (E)SMTP or
LMTP, or by using helper programs. No timing gaps exist in the design,
which could cause a mail loss. It is normally positioned at or near a
central mailer, not necessarily where the user's mailboxes and final
delivery takes place.
Changes: MIME traversal now includes MIME container parts (e.g.
multipart/*, message/*), making them visible to banned rules. This
version preserves original zip archives for virus scanners if the archive
contains any zero-length members. New short types 'dll' and 'empty' makes
blocking recent viruses more flexible, including their unsuccessful
propagation attempts. It recognizes standard Unix archives and unpacks
Debian binary packages. The LDAP modules were rewritten. The handling of
double errors was improved. This version supports mail size limits and
Mail::ClamAV 0.12. A new AV entry 'check-jpeg' can test JPEG images for
validity.

automated form layout generation, automatic detection of changes made by
the user, an improved saving procedure, new property types, and better
portability across different PHP settings.

Software Development :: Libraries :: PHP Classes
About: Cgiapp.class.php is a port of CGI::Application to PHP. It utilizes
Smarty as its default templating engine, much as CGI::Application uses
HTML::Template, due to its prevalence and acceptance in the PHP community.
Due to PHP's built-in session support, it also adds two methods, s_param()
and s_delete(), to handle session parameters. A number of static methods
have also been included to facilitate error handling and array/hash
conversion.
Changes: An error in the callback passed to set_error_handler() in the
run() method has been fixed. query() explicitly returns a reference to
$_CGIAPP_REQUEST.

[010] - Cpsed 0.3
by Giuseppe Torelli (http://freshmeat.net/users/gt67/)
Wed, Nov 3rd 2004 03:43
Multimedia :: Graphics :: Editors
About: Cpsed is a Linux OpenGL 3D scene editor built with the Qt library.
It allows the user to import .3ds model files and to position, rotate, and
scale each of them. The 3ds loader also loads the textures in JPEG, BMP, or
TGA format. The DFF Renderware format is also supported. The save file
format is pure ASCII with comma separated values.
Changes: This version increased camera zoom factor when using the mouse
wheel. The camera can now be moved with mouse to ease the positioning of
models into the scene. A a bug on inserting the models after deleting one
or some of them was fixed, as was a bug when two or more same models were
on the scene: when deleting one model while an equal one was still into
the scene, the textures were also wrongly deleted.

About: SquidClamAV Redirector is a Squid helper script which adds virus
scanning for defined filename extensions. It has been tested with Python,

configuration or to redirect to a remote Site which displays an error (and
some information). SCAVR handles the request as given from Squid,
downloads the URL, and scans it for known viruses. It rewrites the URL
from Squid to a blocked URL or an information page with information about
the scanning results.

Internet :: WWW/HTTP
About: zsync is a client-side implementation of the rsync algorithm. It
allows updating of files from a remote Web server without requiring a
full download or a special remote server application. It uses a metafile,
which must be created on the server, to determine which parts of a file
the user already has; it then downloads the remaining parts via HTTP. No
special server or Web server module is needed. It can also look inside
gzip files, allowing efficient update transfers even when files are
compressed.
Changes: Download efficiency has been improved further, and HTTP redirects
are followed when fetching the control file.
