About: Addendat is a blogging program that can accept updates from either
a CGI interface or a shell interface. Additions are stored as HTML, so you
can edit both entries and design in any ordinary text editor. It is
configured using a simple HTML-like config file format and supports
multiple blogs, even on the same page. It does not require Java or
JavaScript and can publicize additions on a central hub, making it easy
for Web users to find recently-updated blogs. It supports comments and
archiving, can post entries to LiveJournal, and features configurable
comment spam countermeasures.

Changes: A comment spam countermeasure was added, several installer bugs
were fixed, and a bug that caused link prefixes to not be properly applied
was fixed. The documentation was improved somewhat and the example
configuration files are now organized better.

RAM and does not require a hard disk. It can also be booted from PXE or
USB. It can be used for everything a minimal Linux system could be used

email virus scanner, based on ClamAV.

browser (links) and an IRC client (tirc). The kernel has most of the
Ethernet drivers compiled in as modules (including the PCMCIA ones) and

The scripts are all accessible by a setup script and have a nice dialog
frontend.

Changes: The kernel was updated to 2.6.9. busybox was updated to 1.0.0.
There is a new pppd binary.

About: Command Line Progress Bar is a simple command line tool to display
information about a data transfer stream. It will display the number of
bytes transfered, the speed of the transfer, and if the size of the data
stream is known it will display the ETA, percent complete, and a progress
bar.

Changes: This release implements a ring buffer, increases the default
buffer size, and uses iovec (where supported by the OS) to drastically
improve data throughput. It adds configuration tests for iovec support,
and two configure command line options: --disable-use-iovec and
--with-buffer-size=SIZE.

About: REPOS stands for Repository of Erlang-Projects.Org Software
selection. It is a collection of major ready-to-use Erlang software.
Erlang REPOS is distributed as a CDROM image (ISO). You can use every
program included in the REPOS environment either directly from the CDROM,
from your hard drive, or from a USB key.

Changes: Minor bugfixes and feature improvements were made. An SSH 1.0
application was added, making it possible to use SSH and SFTP clients from
Erlang. Tsunami was upgraded to the latest CVS version (2004-10-26).
Several minor bugs with Jabber load testing were fixed. The collection now
works on Mac OS X.

About: FLAG was designed to simplify the process of log file analysis and
forensic investigations. It uses a database as a backend to assist in
managing the large volumes of data. This allows it to remain responsive
and expedite data manipulation operations. It features compatibility with
encase images, Windows registry support, and network dump analysis.

Changes: Recursive scanner support was added. The scanners include virus
scanning, NSRL hash comparison, PST files, and recursive zip files. The
log file support was improved, and a powerful new GUI was included. The
binary distribution now includes MySQL, making it totaly self contained
and trivial to install.

About: The GLIPS Graffiti editor is a cross-platform SVG graphics editor
based on Batik and developed by ITRIS. It features shape tools
(rectangles, circles, ellipses, lines, polygons, and polylines), path
tools (Bezier curves, conversion to a path, union, subtraction, and
intersection), basic text support, and image import (SVG or Bitmap).
Supported transformations are translate, resize, rotate, and skew. A
property manager is available for each object, and a resource manager
takes care of gradients, patterns, markers, and filters. It requires Java
VM 1.4.1 or higher. It is a part of the GLIPS Project, which aims to be a
PLC cross-platform development environment.

Changes: The resources like gradients, markers, and patterns are now
available. Some changes were made in dialog box layouts, menu
organization, and icons. Some minor bugs have also been fixed.

Changes: Support for sending custom request body data was added when using
other methods besides POST. The SetCookie function was added to preset

About: KKBSwitch is a keyboard layout indicator for KDE 2 and 3. It is
useful when you have configured the XKeyboard extension of your X Server
to have more than one keyboard group, for example US/ASCII and Russian. It

About: Spamresponder is a very simple and radical spam filter. It will go
through all mail messages in /var/mail/$USER, looking for specific
"trusted" strings in the header and body parts of the mail. It will delete
and send an automatic reply to messages which have no "trusted" strings
inside them. Those replies will include one of the "trusted" strings, so
the recipient just needs to reply to this confirmation message. The
MailFrom-address of an email containing a trusted string becomes a trusted
string itself.

Changes: A FAQ has been added to this release. The automatic white-listed
email addresses are now updated at runtime.

About: tenshi (formerly wasabi) is a log monitoring program designed to
watch a log file for lines matching user defined regular expressions and
report on the matches. The regular expressions are assigned to queues that
have an alert interval and a list of mail recipients. Queues can be set to
send a notification as soon as there is a log line assigned to them, or to
send periodic reports. Additionally, uninteresting fields in the log lines
(such as PID numbers) can be masked with the standard regular expression
grouping operators ( ). This allows cleaner and more readable reports. All
reports are separated by hostname and all messages are condensed when
possible.

Changes: The X-tenshi-version, X-tenshi-hostname, and
X-tenshi-report-start headers were added. The orphan tail process problem
was fixed, since the filehandle is now closed on shutdown. The bug in cron
specs handling was fixed. LC_TIME locale is internally set to "C" now for a
compliant Date header. Mail address specification allows local part only.
Foreground mode was added.
