It provides to scripted languages a clean and simple way to write great
looking, mildly interactive desktop integrated graphic applets (aka

About: The AKFQuiz package lets you easily make your own quiz games or
learning exercises. These can be used either with grquiz in a graphical
environment (SVGAlib), with crtquiz on the text console, or with diaquiz
in a GUI environment. There is also a line oriented variant, linequiz,
which can be used as a backend. A CGI-variant can be installed on a Web
server to offer exercises via the Web. A mkquiz tool that generates an
HTML file for to use with the JavaScript akfquiz3.js is also included.
Those can then be published with any Web-space provider.

Changes: The programs are more stable and there are a lot of different
improvements. The format for quiz files has changed.

About: ccbuild is like a dynamic Makefile. It finds all programs in the
current directory (containing "int main") and compiles them. For this, it
reads the C++ source and looks at all local and global includes. All C++
files surrounding local includes are considered objects for the mean
program. The global includes lead to compiler arguments like path includes
and libraries to link to. The main goal of the project is to allow
development without editing any scripts of any kind. Real
deployment/distribution should still be done with the autotools. As an
added bonus, it can create Makefiles and graph dependencies using DOT
(graphviz) graphs.

Changes: The last compilation and linking phase has been split. Internal
header (.ih) precompilation works like a charm. There is a bugfix in
configuration file loading from the ccResolutions.d directory. The
cleaning algorithm has been rewritten and code cleaned up. A small
installation script has been added.

About: Chess Training Tools is a collection of chess training tools. It
includes a chess visualization trainer that teaches chess visualization by
drilling you on the color of a particular square, and also on your ability
to tell if two squares are the same color, if two (or three) squares are
on the same diagonal, if two squares are a knight move apart, or if two
squares are two knight moves apart. It includes a weak chess program
(called Vince) that lets you lag the display by several ply, hide all
pieces or all pawns, and block out quadrants of the board. Furthermore, it
includes an opening memorization trainer. The Palm & Pocket PC versions are
missing the mate, opening trainer, and Vince.

Changes: This version adds the ability to hide the center, the "big"
center, and white and/or black pieces. It changes the chess pieces to a
different set to avoid possible copyright issues. It shrunk the book down
from the 2600 games size. The chess board view was split out and is now a
library. The layout was changed a touch.

passwords and other sensitive data and store them in a public-key
encrypted file. It also allows you to configure the whole hierarchy
yourself, so it's easily adoptable for many requirements. The encryption

Changes: Due to some newly added test routines a severe bug in the de- and
encryption function was detected and fixed. This bug might corrupt large
datafiles, so an update to the new version is highly recommended.

About: delsafe is a set of utilities to hopefully allow you to recover
recently deleted files. Basically, when you delete or in certain cases
overwrite a file the original file is moved into a trash can. It does
this by overriding the original unlink, rename, open, and fopen library
calls using the Linux LD_PRELOAD mechanism. To each filename in the trash
can is appended a time/version stamp.

Changes: undel now works. Small changes in the delsafe.conf.example file.
Improved documentation. A manual installation section. Moved to beta.

About: DSML is the Directory Services Markup Language, an XML dialect for
working with directory information. The DSML Tools provide for the
querying of any LDAP directory (with search results output as DSML), the
importing of DSML data into any LDAP directory, the directory-context
validation of DSML (checking for illegal attributes in the entries, etc.),
and the calculation of the differences (for a directory) between two DSML
documents to provide an XML Diff algorithm for DSML data. This software
makes all LDAP-supporting directories DSML-enabled. It can also check the
integrity of DSML data, and show at a glance how two data sets,
represented as DSML, differ.

Changes: Two patches necessary to fix the Netscape LDAP SDK are now
included in the source tarball. These were accidentally omitted in version
1.2.

speech. It is specialized for voice communications at low bit-rates in the

About: Zoem is a macro/programming language. It can be used as an
all-round macro language, but has more specialized uses as well. One such
specific use is its support for creating small mark-up languages that map
to different devices. It has character filtering capabilities tailored to
this application. Two such languages come packaged with zoem; one for
creating manual pages that can be output either in troff or in HTML, the
other for creating FAQs again in either troff or HTML output. It supports
arithmetic evaluation, regular expressions, multidimensional data
storage, iteration, comprehensive IO, control operators, dictionary
stacks, system commands, and more.

Changes: This release fixes an unconditional segmentation fault occurring
with the -e option, introduced in the previous release. The experimental
inspect#4 primitive, providing regexp capabilities, was sanitized. Its
implementation was redone and the interface was simplified. A second
stress test, covering a large number of error paths, was added to the
regression suite.
