About: Active Calendar is a PHP class that generates calendars (month or
year view) as HTML tables (XHTML-Valid). It can produce static calendars
without any links or calendars with a week number column, navigation
controls, a date picker control, event days and content with event URLs,
and linkable days (optionally URL or Javascript). The layout can be
configured using CSS, and JavaScript is not required. The supported dates
(on systems using a 32-bit signed integer Unix time_t) are: 1902-2037
(Unix) and 1971-2037 (Windows), when using the default PHP native date
functions, and 100-3000 and later, when using the ADOdb Date Library.

Changes: An activeCalendarWeek subclass was added. The class can generate
week calendars (one or multiple rows) according to the date or the week
number of the year passed to the class using two public methods,
showWeeks() and showWeeksByID(). The structure of the download package was
updated and an example was added for demonstrating how the Active Calendar
can be used as a popup date selector in a form.

About: Brutus is an Exchange connector and development framework that
offers access to all of MAPI and therefore to all versions of Microsoft
Exchange from version 5.5 onwards. It is a complete wrapping of all of

client to integrate seamlessly into any organization with large Exchange
deployments on an equal footing with MS Outlook. Being based on CORBA, it
is platform independent, and works equally well on Linux, the BSDs,

Changes: The Evolution 2.4 plugin, evolution-brutus, is now ready for
non-developer use. It is almost feature complete, with a few annoyingly

About: C++ Regex Engine provides a robust regular expression library for
use in C++. The syntax of the regular expression language is very close to
the Perl 5 standard. The classes given somewhat mirror those found in
Java's regular expression library, but have several improvements. The
intended audience of this package is anyone who does a lot of data parsing
(e.g. sysadmins), people tired of trying to decipher Perl scripts, and
regular expression beginners who know C++. Some knowledge of the STL's
vector and string will come in handy, but isn't necessary.

Changes: A memory leak involving certain match types has been fixed.
UnicodePattern/Matcher has been changed to WCPattern/Matcher. The code has
been cleaned up to get rid of warnings on certain compilers.

recombination and gene conversion under the assumption of exponential
population growth. It efficiently constructs the ancestral recombination
graph for a given number of individuals and uses this to simulate samples

afterwards be separated in cases and controls, depending on the states of
selected individual markers. The tool can accordingly also be used to
construct cases and control data sets for association studies.

sections of an MP3 interactively or via a timetable and save them to
separate files without quality loss. Silence and ID3 tag searching are
also possible. For playback it uses mpg123. The program works with VBR

called xcutmp3.

Changes: Support for writing data to STDOUT has been added. The Konqueror

About: Fityk is nonlinear curve-fitting and data analysis software. It
allows data visualization, separation of overlapping peaks, and least
squares fitting using standard Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, a genetic
algorithm, or Nelder-Mead simplex method. It only knows about common
bell-shaped functions (Gaussian, Loretzian, Pearson 7, Voigt,
Pseudo-Voigt, EMG, and Doniach-Sunjic) and polynomials, but more
sophisticated formulae can be easily added if necessary. It also enables
background substracting, data calibration, and task automation with a
simple script language. It is being developed to analyze powder
diffraction patterns, but is also used in chromatography,
photoluminescence, infrared, and Raman spectroscopy, and can be used to
fit analytical functions to any kind of data. The most similar program to
Fityk is probably PeakFit.

Changes: Printing was improved. Expotentially-Modified-Gaussian and
Doniach-Sunjic functions were added.

About: flpsed is a WYSIWYG pseudo PostScript editor. "Pseudo", because you
can't remove or modify existing elements of a document. But it does let you
add arbitrary text lines to existing PostScript documents. Added lines can
later be reedited with flpsed. Using pdftops, one can convert PDF
documents to PostScript and also add text to them. flpsed is useful for
filling in forms, adding notes etc.

Changes: This release adds support for PostScript Document Structure
Convention. Pages can now be accessed in random order. Document sizes
other than A4 are handled better, and -geometry and -z (zoom) options have
been added. A compile problem on Solaris has been fixed.

Changes: A couple of showstopper bugs affecting Cell->Create and

working in Cell->Link. Global object linking is completed, though it is
only implemented so far in Cell->Link. Fixed size settings were removed
from all GAMGI dialogs, so changing fonts should be fine now.

About: GenReS is a generic reconfigurable scriptable plugin for
Mozilla/Firefox. It allows you to use external programs for EMBED or
OBJECT tags. The plugin is supplied with a Perl script for embedding
mplayer and mencoder in a browser and controlling it with Javascript. It
allow you to watch video and to record it to set of files. Manipulations
with object variables in Javascript are translated to a Perl program.

About: XArchive is a GUI frontend for command-line archiving tools. It
uses external executable wrappers to communicate with the tools. It
consults a wrapper directory at startup to see what types of files it
supports, making adding support for new archive formats a matter of
writing a wrapper for its tool and dropping it in the wrappers directory.
Wrappers are included for TAR, RAR, ZIP, ARJ, 7ZIP, and ACE (extraction
only for ACE).

Changes: This version allows searching of archive contents, creating
extract directories if desired, and a few more interface clean-ups.

About: XZero is a simple board game. The winner of the game is the first
player who completes a continuous line of at least five elements. A line
may have one of the following directions: vertical, horizontal, diagonally
ascending, or diagonally descending.

Changes: The code was migrated to SWT 3.1.2. The Deb and RPM packages
depend on swt-zerosys (see SWT under Software). The upgrade code was fixed
for the Windows installer. isWinner was enabled in the game menu. Marking
the last move is now only called after a computer move.

About: Yoltia is a computer program for editing image files. It provides
the functionality to do simple changes to a large number of pictures
quickly and very comfortably and exactly. It can read and write PNG, XPM,
BMP, and JPEG. It can use and preview custom compression levels for JPEG
and PNG, create new pictures, rotate pictures with 0.5 degree accuracy,
manipulate the RGB and HSV values, and perform inverting, mirroring,
resizing, cutting, stretching and color depth conversion with usage of
different dithers. It provides many user orientated zoom modes, a
multi-document interface, quick editing of many pictures via browsing
directories or self-defined file lists, clipboard and
drag-and-drop-interaction, a slideshow, and a simple and fast GUI with
hotkey-orientated usage.

Changes: 3 bugs were fixed in the slideshow, the status bar information
update, and the Browsing List Editor procedures.

Goals include precise opcode emulation (documented and undocumented),
