Desktop Environment
Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Browsers
About: 2-Disk X window embedded Linux is a tiny net-centric Linux that
aims at portable secure remote system usage. It contains many utilities
including: X Windows, vncviewer, rdesktop, a Web browser, a file manager,
a text editor, a terminal, a window manager, a menu system, a dialog
system, X scripting facilities, and many others. It aims to work from 1 or
2 floppy disks in any remote location.
Changes: Script cleanups were done to the build system. Bugs were fixed
concerning HTTPS access with the Mweb browser.

[002] - BitTorrent Queue Manager 0.1.1
by Sugree Phatanapherom (http://freshmeat.net/users/xgie/)
Sat, May 6th 2006 23:17
Communications :: File Sharing
Internet
System :: Clustering/Distributed Networks
About: BitTorrent Queue Manager is a console-based BitTorrent client
running on top of BitTornado that provides built-in queue management
functions. It also provides a remote interface compatible with ABC for
Web-based control. Furthermore, peer information can be queried,
including country and network names, and a built-in crawler can gather
new torrents on specified trackers or catalog sites for downloading
automatically.
Changes: This version focuses on fixing race conditions, handling errors,
and integrating with an external frontend. There is one change that is
highly visible to users: the "resume" command now just changes any state
of a given ID to "waiting" for the next scheduling. If you want to force
it to run immediately, you have to use option "-f". Two commands were
introduced in this version: du (disk usage) and df (disk free). These
commands are to help integration with an external frontend with quota
support.

Games/Entertainment :: Puzzle Games
Scientific/Engineering :: Mathematics
About: Burr Tools is a set of programs for solving a certain kind of
puzzle, namely puzzles that are made out of square or cube-shaped units
and whose solution also contains only rectangular aligned pieces. The
program finds assemblies for the puzzle and also animates how you have to
assemble it.
Changes: Disassembler improvements include better move generation, merging
when x pieces move the same amount in the same direction, and unmerging
when they move a different amount. Lots of interface changes and many new
functions were added to ease the drawing of puzzles. Huge speed
improvements were made for different kinds of puzzles. The ability to
export images of shapes, problems, or solutions with complete assembly was
added. Bugs were removed.

[008] - Dnsmasq 2.31
by Simon Kelley (http://freshmeat.net/users/simonkelley/)
Sat, May 6th 2006 12:07
Internet :: Name Service (DNS)
About: Dnsmasq is a lightweight, easy to configure DNS forwarder and DHCP
server. It is designed to provide DNS and (optionally) DHCP to a small
network. It can serve the names of local machines which are not in the
global DNS. The DHCP server integrates with the DNS server and allows
machines with DHCP-allocated addresses to appear in the DNS with names
configured either in each host or in a central configuration file. Dnsmasq
supports static and dynamic DHCP leases and BOOTP for network booting of
diskless machines.
Changes: This release adds a workaround for a Linux kernel bug which
breaks DHCP on kernels with "Classical IP over ATM" support compiled in.
Even if not in use, at least some vendor kernels include this option.
There is also a new facility to allow a script to run whenever the DHCP
lease database changes, and a new example configuration file for DBus
integration.
