About: Checkmate mpck reads MP3 files and tries to determine if they are
correct (i.e. not damaged). It scans the file to see if the frames are
where they are supposed to be, if the frame headers are correct, and if
the headers are consistent throughout the file. It gives some statistics
on the file, and a conclusion whether the file is good or bad.

Changes: This version solves a bug where Checkmate reports "No MP3 file"
for some broken files.

About: Fityk is nonlinear curve-fitting and data analysis software. It
allows data visualization, separation of overlapping peaks, and least
squares fitting using standard Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, a genetic
algorithm, or Nelder-Mead simplex method. It only knows about common
bell-shaped functions (Gaussian, Loretzian, Pearson 7, Voigt,
Pseudo-Voigt, EMG, and Doniach-Sunjic) and polynomials, but more
sophisticated formulae can be easily added if necessary. It also enables
background substracting, data calibration, and task automation with a
simple script language. It is being developed to analyze powder
diffraction patterns, but is also used in chromatography,
photoluminescence, infrared, and Raman spectroscopy, and can be used to
fit analytical functions to any kind of data. The most similar program to
Fityk is probably PeakFit.

Changes: Export of data and parameters was enhanced. A gamma function was
added.

About: MailManager helps teams deal with large volumes of email by
allocating mail to the right person, providing tools to help answer it
(prioritisation, reply templates, and a knowledge base), and allowing
managers to set service levels for different types of mail and report on
performance against service levels and volumes received. MailManager is
based on Zope which is required to use it. It is cross-platform, but most
of the testing has been under Linux and Mac OS X.

Changes: This release contains an important security fix to address a
recent vulnerability in PostgreSQL. This issue does not affect
installations using a MySQL backend. The user interface has has a lot of
improvements, particularly for users of Internet Explorer. There are
several Unicode fixes. The loop detection code has been improved, so one
MailManager can email another MailManager. Many more minor issues have
been addressed.

About: sshutout is a daemon that periodically monitors log files, looking

is meant to mitigate what are commonly known as "dictionary attacks," i.e.
scripted brute force attacks that use lists of user IDs and passwords to

About: UDPCast allows to send data simultaneously to many destinations on
a local net. This can for instance be used to install entire classrooms of
PCs at once. The advantage over using other methods (nfs, ftp, whatever) is

busybox bootdisk for easy loading of the tool. However, udpcast can also
be started from the command line of an already installed system, and can

backend. It includes a bundled copy of PangoXSL. xmlroff 'configure' runs
PangoXSL 'configure' at the end of xmlroff 'configure', since it depends
on this.

About: Zimbra is a server and client technology for next-generation

etc). It features a browser-based AJAX client with search, shared

Administrators benefit from online move, back-up, and recovery of

Changes: Many bugfixes. The admin UI stats now show all devices and server
