About: 64 Studio is a collection of native free software for digital
content creation on x86_64 hardware (AMD's 64-bit CPUs and Intel's EM64T
chips). It's based on the pure 64 port of Debian GNU/Linux, but with a
specialised package selection and lots of other customisations. The
distribution includes the Linux kernel with realtime preemption patches,
the GNOME desktop, and a selection of creative applications, covering
audio and music, 2D and 3D graphics, and publishing for the Web and print.
It also includes Internet and office tools that a creative user is likely
to need for their daily work.

Changes: A number of bugs were fixed. An alternative i386 build is now
provided for 32-bit PCs. Several known bugs remain: software RAID support
via mdadm is broken, printconf takes too long during install, and after an
offline install, Synaptic may produce an error message.

About: Bruteblock allows system administrators to block various bruteforce
attacks on UNIX services. The program analyzes system logs and adds
attackers' IP addresses into the ipfw2 table, effectively blocking them.
Addresses are automatically removed from the table after specified amount
of time. Bruteblock uses regular expressions to parse logs, which gives it
enough flexibility to be used with almost any network service. Bruteblock
doesn't use any external programs and works with ipfw2 tables via the raw
sockets API.

deployments on an equal footing with MS Outlook. Being based on CORBA, it

About: Emdros is a text database engine for annotated or analyzed text. It
is applicable in linguistics, publishing, text processing, and other fields
dealing with annotated text. Emdros has a powerful query language for
asking relevant questions of the data. It is middleware, acting as a layer

PostgreSQL and MySQL are supported.

Changes: All db backends can now reside in the same binary, thus reducing
the complexity for the system administrator. A number of bugs were fixed.
Mac OS X support was greatly improved, as was Solaris support. Two
importers were added, one for plain text and the other for the linguistic
"slashed text" format. The Unix builds now use the system-wide SQLite
and/or PCRE libraries if present. Significant speed increases were gained
on topographic queries, especially on multi-million-token corpora. A lot

About: Getmail-cfg.sh is a script for configuring getmail. It is written
for users who want to manage multiple accounts and fetch mail from them.
When setting up user accounts, it tries to guess some of the values (like

Calling the script without arguments will fetch the mail from all accounts
that are already configured for that user.

About: The HelenOS project is an effort to develop a working operating
system. HelenOS supports SMP, multitasking, and multithreading on 32-bit

32-bit PowerPC, SPARC V9, and Xen. The extent to which these architectures

quick and painless renaming of filenames. It features all the expected
batch file renaming functions, id3v1 support, explorer integration for
Windows, and much more. It is especially useful for cleaning up BT
downloads.

Changes: Manual renaming via right click with id3 support has been added.
You can cd into directories by double clicking them. hlist has the
beginnings of a right click menu; at the moment, only manual editing is
done. The overhauled dir.pm directory listing is working properly; no more
double ups. This release will list an entire directory's contents (all
files). Basic file icons have been added to hlist. All fonts used are
declared by variables, editable in fonts.ini. All config files and lists
have been changed to neater names. Huge code cleanup.

About: SQLIer takes an URL vulnerable to SQL injection attacks and
attempts to determine all of the necessary information to build and
exploit an SQL injection hole by itself. It requires no user interaction
unless it can't guess the table/field names correctly. By doing so, it can
build a UNION SELECT query designed to brute force passwords out of the
database. It does not use quotes in the exploit, meaning it will work for
a wider range of sites. An 8 character password (containing any character
from decimal ASCII code 1-127) takes approximately one minute to crack.

Changes: Non-blind injection support was added along with support for
subquery-based exploits. "UNION SELECT" exploits now attempt to bypass
some common filtering mechanisms before giving up. The detection engine
was altered, fixing a bunch of injection issues. Various other bugfixes
and engine tweaks were made.
