About: CacheTable is a C++ template library that implements a very fast
hash map container. Its particularity, compared with std::hash_map and
google::sparse_hash_map, is that it has a fixed size (decided it when it
is created) and a random item replacement policy: in case of an "hash
collision" the older item is "discarded" and replaced with the new one.
This container is ideal for implementing a caching system, when you want
very fast item insertion and retrieval and you know the memory amount you
want to dedicate ahead of time.

Changes: This release fixes a bug with deletion of iterator range, and
work continues on more complete documentation. The test case has been
reorganized to not require external libraries.

About: Cibyl is a programming environment that allows compiled C programs
to execute on J2ME-capable phones. Cibyl uses GCC to compile the C
programs to MIPS binaries, and these are then recompiled into Java
bytecode. The programs are not parsed during runtime, and Cibyl is
therefore relatively well-performing. With Cibyl, games written in C can
be ported to J2ME without switching language.

Changes: Floating point support has been fully implemented. A lot of code
has been restructured to have fewer MIPS dependencies. A test
infrastructure has been added, along with a set of test cases. Bugs in
vsnprintf have been fixed.

About: cupsfax is a set of two scripts to integrate a HylaFAX fax server
into the CUPS printing system. To send a fax, the user prints it to the
designated printer queue. He will then receive email with a link to a Web
form. In this Web form, the user may enter additional parameters (most
importantly the receiving fax number). This way, there are no additional
conditions on what can be printed, like fax numbers embedded into the file
or job name. This can also be fully integrated into a Wamba/CUPS
configuration, enabling Windows clients to send arbitrary documents as
faxes. It also gives the full power of the CUPS print processing pipeline
to sending faxes, and makes it possible to specify additional faxing
options.

About: cxmon is an interactive command-driven file manipulation tool
inspired by the "Amiga Monitor" by Timo Rossi. It has commands and
features similar to a machine code monitor/debugger, but it lacks any
functions for running/tracing code. There are, however, built-in PowerPC,
680x0, 80x86, 6502 and Z80 disassemblers and special support for
disassembling MacOS code. cxmon is primarily intended for emulation
development but it can be used as a generic tool for manipulating and
analyzing binary data and machine code, or just as a hex calculator.

About: GiNaC (GiNaC is Not a CAS (Computer Algebra System)) is a C++
library for symbolic calculations. It is designed to allow the creation of

About: The gnetload network load meter is a network and ISDN load meter
that is similar to xisdnload, but works in a distributed environment. It
includes an agent (devstata) that runs on machines with interfaces to be
monitored and periodically sends status information over the network. A
display program (gnetload) collects and displays the data. Both can be
run on the same machine, or be used to report on the state of a
dedicated router on another machine. Using multicast or broadcast
addresses, data can be fed to more than one instance of gnetload. A menu
for taking network interfaces up and down is also provided.

Changes: The config script was updated to build with GTK2 and GCONF2 where
available. There are no other code changes.

About: Imagero is a Java library for reading images and reading/editing
image metadata. Supported file types include BMP, GIF, TIFF, PNG, JNG,
MNG, JPEG (including CMYK and 12-bit grey), PSD, PBM, PGM, PPM, TGA, EPS,
EPSI, and EPSF, MRW, CRW, NEF, DCR, and DNG. It can read thumbnails and
can read and edit metadata (IPTC, EXIF, XMP, Wang Annotations, Image
Resource Blocks, Image File Directrories, JPEG App Markers). An image can
be read into an array, Image, BufferedImage, or tiled RenderedImage.
Accurate color conversion is done with ICC profiles. JAIViewer is
included.

Changes: JAIViewer has been renamed to Rivi (RenderedImage Viewer),
removed from Imagero, and released as a stand-alone project under the GPL.
Many bugfixes were made (License Key installing, getAsBufferedImage with
images with less then 8 bits per pixel, identification of old style TGA
images, etc.). Many changes have been made in PSDReader: the ability to
edit some Layer properties, the ability to save Layers, the introduction
of PsdObjects (also editable/savable), etc.

About: MeTA1 is a modularized message transfer agent (MTA) consisting of
five (or more) persistent processes, four of which are multi-threaded. A
queue manager controls SMTP servers and SMTP clients to receive and send
email messages, an address resolver provides lookups in various maps
(including DNS) for mail routing, and a main control program starts the
other processes and watches over their execution. The queue manager
organizes the flow of messages through the system and provides measures to
avoid overloading the local or remote systems by implementing a central
control instance. It is simple to configure using a C-like syntax and is
secure and efficient.

Changes: smar does not query DNS blacklists if a previous test (e.g., a
map lookup) already returned a result. "Empty" MX records are treated as
invalid, and mail messages from domains using those are rejected. The new
compile time option SS_EHLO_ACCESS_CHK enables lookups of the EHLO/HELO
argument in the access map. This must be enabled at runtime via the flag
"check_ehlo" (and "access" of course). Several logging enhancements were
made, for example for program termination, invalid EHLO/HELO, and
discarding of mail messages.

About: Vuurmuur is a middle-end and front-end for netfilter and iptables
that is aimed at system administrators who need a decent firewall, but
don't have netfilter specific knowledge. It converts human-readable rules
into an iptables ruleset (or optional a bash script), makes netfilter logs
readable, includes an ncurses GUI.

Changes: Killing of grouped connections was fixed. The Debian initscript
was improved.

About: WACS (Web-Based Adult Content Server) is a suite of programs that
manages photo sets and video clips of an adult nature. It runs on a home
Linux/Unix server and creates a personalized adult Web server in which to
store, peruse, and catalogue a personal collection of adult material. Its
many features include model catalogs, attribute-based searching,
randomized highlights, new addition lists, and a flexible bookmark
mechanism.

Changes: This release adds a whole new set of mechanisms to support and
manage the acquisition side of collecting content. It will automatically
find the latest sets by your favourite "performers" and download them. In

your collection easier. There are also many enhancements to existing parts
of the system.

About: The Yana Framework is a component framework for developing PHP
applications. It can be expanded with your own plugins (components). It
includes skin and template support, multiple languages (German and English
by default), mature administration functionality, multiple installation
profiles, user login and administration, a database API based on PEAR-DB
that also offers database schema support, and a GUI/code generator for
your own plugins. It also includes an easy to use query tool that
automatically maps database commands to a flat file if no database support
is available. Plugins provided with this software are a guestbook, an RSS
to HTML converter, and a search engine. Complete (German) documentation
is included.

Changes: This release addresses some of the less prominent features,
especially the support for communities and multi-user installations.
Developers can create pretty HTML tree menus from multidimensional arrays
with virtually no coding. Also new is the data type "image" for columns in
database structure files. The use of this data type tells the framework to
automatically handle file uploads, resize the file, and create a thumbnail
for the uploaded image. A tutorial will follow soon.
