Internet :: Log Analysis
About: BetterAWstats is an Web server log analysis tool that provides
better statistics from the data provided by AWstats. It is not a
replacement for AWstats. The most significant features are rolling months

feature, 'All (Daily)' data, improved browser processing, log parsing
statistics, browser versions, and OS versions, and a row count for
"Others". An error in parsing robots.pm for the latest AWstats build was
fixed. Non-existent file type icons were fixed along with a problem with
icons for https://. Column spanning for "Others", login date formats, and
the visit duration data table were also fixed.

[009] - DBIx::Perlish 0.24
by Grrrr (http://freshmeat.net/users/Grrrr/)
Thu, May 3rd 2007 02:28
About: The DBIx::Perlish module provides the ability to work with
databases supported by the DBI module using Perl's own syntax for the four
most common operations: SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, and INSERT. By using
DBIx::Perlish, you can write most of your database queries using a
domain-specific language with Perl syntax. However, the module is not
intended to replace all use of SQL in your program. The DBIx::Perlish
module quite intentionally neither implements nor cares about database
administration tasks like schema design and management.
Changes: The module now understands ++,+=, etc. in updates. Various
documentation fixes were made. Support for a $m = {%h} syntax was added
for bulk updates.

Thu, May 3rd 2007 00:08
Database
Database :: Front-Ends
About: DbWrench is multi-vendor, multi-platform database design and
synchronization software. Features include a syntax highlighting SQL
query editor, support for many of today's most popular databases, a
graphic entity relation diagram (ERD) designer, and the ability to
forward and reverse engineer databases. Its multi-vendor and
multi-platform functionality makes it ideal for heterogeneous database
environments.
Changes: This release includes numerous enhancements to the diagram panel.
The navigator panel now updates in sync whenever the main diagram is
scrolled or glyphs are auto-located. Selecting a foreign key link in the
diagram also highlights the columns used in the foreign key. In addition,
several improvements have been made to the forward engineer script
generation algorithms and reverse synchronize.

the algorithm in multi-processor environments and general performance
optimizations.
Changes: A new run() procedure based on convergence instead of a minimum
fitness value was implemented. It is now possible to load and save a
population in a plain text file. New, faster select operators were
provided ('tournament' and 'elitist'). A bug in the class destructor was
fixed. Extensive function documentation was included.

[025] - Local IP Takeover 1.1
by Frederik Dannemare (http://freshmeat.net/users/dannemare/)
Thu, May 3rd 2007 02:36
System :: Networking
About: Local IP Takeover provides network link redundancy within a single
server that has multiple network interface cards (NICs) with each NIC
connected to separate network switches. If the primary NIC fails (i.e. it
cannot ping its default gateway), the "service" IP (the IP that the
outside world connects to) will automatically float to the secondary NIC
and a specially crafted ARP (utilizing send_arp) will be broadcast on the
local network, thereby instructing all other hosts to update their local
ARP cache. The result is minimal service downtime. Plus, no manual
intervention is required in the event that a network card, cable, or
switch breaks.
Changes: Cosmetic changes to log output and overall a little more verbose
logging. A Debian package is now available.

Office/Business :: Groupware
About: Open Blue Lab is a modular ERP, built on a plugin architecture.
Each business domain (such as Groupware, Financial, HCM, PLM, or SCM) is
separated into subdomains which are implemented through plugins. This
architecture permits you to choose only the components that suit your
needs. Each plugin is certified Zero Code, configurable through a GUI, and
may be adapted through the UML models provided.
Changes: Layout and view definitions were added for class diagrams of the
financial.costs project, and views were added for lists.

Office/Business
Software Development :: Bug Tracking
About: PHP Trouble Ticket provides a centralized means of problem
reporting and tracking in multi-user environments (medium to large
companies, development groups, etc.). It helps direct problem reports to
the responsible administrator(s), keeps track of the status of a problem
being worked on, and offers an up-to-date list of recent changes applied.
It aims to be widely configurable, easy-to-use even for those not
technically inclined, and multi-language capable.
Changes: Some license codes were incorrectly declared "expired". This bug
was fixed. No other functional changes were made since version 1.4. Users
of PHP Trouble Ticket that run it in a production environment are strongly
encouraged to upgrade, even if they do not currently experience any
problems with their installation of version 1.4 or any previous release.
When upgrading from a previous version, please make sure that the system
requirements are met.
