About: Aeolus is an effort to create a platform for displaying and
animating 2D graphics using Cairo as a backend. The language used is C++,
creating an object-oriented design borrowing heavily from Crystal Space.
This makes the project very modular and helps people to extend and reuse
the code as they see fit.
Changes: The project has now changed direction from being a standalone
platform to being integrated with Crystal Space as a library with
plug-ins. Thus, major changes have been made since the last release. The
code is now more well written and a lot of documentation has been added.
However, it is not close to being usable yet.

About: Algraeph is a tool for manual alignment of linguistic graphs, such
as phrase structure trees or dependency structures, where each node
corresponds to a subsequence of the analyzed input sentence. It allows you
to express the similarity between two graphs by aligning their nodes and
attaching relation labels to these alignments. Graphs are read from one or
more graphbanks (or treebanks) in the GraphML or Alpino formats. Alignment
relations are user-defined and are stored in a simple XML format, which
can be used for further processing. The resulting parallel graph corpus is

About: Open HPI is an open source project created to provide an open
implementation of the SA Forum's Hardware Platform Interface (HPI). It
provides a universal interface for Platform Management, including hardware
sensor monitoring and control.
Changes: Various fixes to the RPM spec file, entity path related fixes to
hpievents, hpi_shell, and hpipower, and many fixes to hpi_shell input
mechanisms. Missing sensor types were added to the utility library. IPMI
Direct detection was added and hotswap was fixed. Transmission of missing

from client to daemon was fixed. Much improved DIMI/FUMI support was

About: The goal of the Pango project is to provide an Open Source
framework for the layout and rendering of internationalized text. It uses
Unicode for all of its encoding, and will eventually support output in all
the world's major languages.
Changes: Rendering with changing Cairo matrices was made much faster. The
"vkrn" GPOS feature in vertical writing was added. Various optimizations
and cleanups were made in the OpenType Layout engine. The HarfBuzz code
was cleaned up. A crossed box is now rendered instead of an ASCII question
mark for each invalid input byte to pango_layout_set_text(). A new public
API, pango_layout_set_height(), was added, along with several other API
functions. New "--height" and "--single-par" command-line arguments were
added to pango-view. Many bugs were fixed.

About: SQLObject is an object-relational mapper, i.e., a library that will
wrap your database tables in Python classes, and your rows in Python
instances. It currently supports MySQL through the 'MySQLdb' package,
PostgreSQL through the 'psycopg' package, SQLite, Firebird, MaxDB (SAP
DB), MS SQL, and Sybase. It should support Python versions back to 2.2.
Changes: SQLObject now requires Python 2.3. SQLObject.select() (i.e.,
SelectResults) and DBConnection.queryForSelect() use SQLBuilder Select
queries. This means that all SELECTs are implemented internally via a
single mechanism that supports all options. SQLBuilder ImportProxy was
added, which allows one to ignore the circular import issues.
SelectResults.throughTo was added, which allows one to traverse Joins via
SQL, avoiding the intermediate objects. ViewSQLObject was added.
MySQLConnection (and DB URI) accept a number of SSL-related parameters.

About: Tellico is a collection manager for KDE. It includes default
collections for books, bibliographies, comic books, videos, music, video
games, coins, stamps, trading cards, and wines, and also allows custom
collections. Unlimited user-defined fields are allowed. Filters are

customization for printing is possible through editing the default XSLT
file. It can import CSV, Bibtex, Bibtexml, RIS, MODS, CDDB, and audio file

About: Virt Install is a command line tool built on top of libvirt that
facilitates installation of virtual machines. It supports installation of
fully-virtualized Xen guest machines for arbitrary operating systems and
installation of Xen paravirtualized Fedora/RHEL operating systems. The
tool takes care of fetching the guest kernels, creating file based disk
images, and booting the guest operating system installer media.
Changes: When probing for OS distribution type, the tool now tests for the
existence of files rather than fetching the entire file. RFC-compliant NFS
URIs are accepted and converted where needed. When probing for Red Hat
distribution variants, the "treeinfo" file is sought to determine
initrd/kernel locations. User friendly errors are shown instead of stack
traces, and bogus libvirt error messages are hidden from the console. A
--noreboot flag was added to virt-install to prevent the automatic reboot
at the end of install. The libvirt capabilities XML is used to determine
the guest types supported by a hypervisor. A --force option was added to
prevent any interactive prompting.

About: The Virtual Machine Manager (virt-manager for short) is a desktop
application for managing virtual machines. Since it uses libvirt, it is
capable of managing machines from any hypervisor supported by libvirt. Xen
is the current primary target. The application's views provide summaries
and detailed statistics on performance and resource utilization. A wizard
facilitates creation of new guest domains, both para-virtualized and
fully-virtualized. Console access is enabled either to a text based serial
console or fully graphical access via an embedded VNC client.
Changes: Smooth resize of the guest console, support for all libvirt
authentication methods including Kerberos and PolicyKit, a Solaris
portability fix for the text console, and support for detecting bonding
and VLAN devices for attaching guest NICs. fullvirt guests are now allowed
to install off kernel and initrd as well as existing CD-ROM methods.
Invocation of DBus methods was fixed to use an interface. Setting of
autostart flag and changing boot device ordering is now allowed. New VM
creation is controlled based on declared hypervisor capabilities.
