About: get_iplayer allows a user to download or stream any BBC iPlayer TV
program (H.264/Quicktime), ITVplayer TV programs (ASF/WMV), iPlayer radio

version information were sent to stdout in pvr mode. All of these bugs have
been fixed. The itv symlink target is now the multi-part directory if there
is more than one part. itv prog parts now have zero-padded part# to ensure

Sat, Jan 24th 2009 01:45
Information Management :: Document Repositories

Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Site Management
About: Drupal is a Web content management (WCM) system. It provides a
simple, intuitive interface that allows an individual or a community of
users to easily publish, manage, and organize a wide variety of content on
a Web site without programming skills. Drupal is an extremely powerful
system that rewards the users who climb the fairly steep learning curve.
The JumpBox for Drupal lowers the learning curve a little by giving you a
Drupal installation that’s ready to run in just minutes, allowing you to
focus on using Drupal rather than getting it installed. This JumpBox is for
the Drupal 6.x series of releases. A separate JumpBox is also available for
Drupal 5.x.
Changes: Drupal 6 has been upgraded to Drupal 6.9. You should be able to
restore from the previously released versions of Drupal 6, as well as from
the 1.0 - 1.1.9 Drupal JumpBoxes. Drupal 6 is now accessible under the root
URL. Existing sites with links to /drupal/* should continue to work.

[016] - Slam-Edit 3.3.8
by Mike Stabenfeldt (http://freshmeat.net/users/stabie/)
Sat, Jan 24th 2009 19:33
Scientific/Engineering :: Electronic Design Automation (EDA)
About: Slam is a mature IC Layout editor with the ability to edit very
large designs (such as stream files larger than 10GB). Novel features
include threading for redraw, support for displaying on multiple X servers
simultaneously, and a Tcl interface to the database for user extensibility.
The system is a library based system with multi-user support. Programmable
structures (P-Cells) are available in Tcl. The editor includes gds input
and output.
Changes: The transform command was altered to grid the result using either
the window's current edit grid or the cell's min grid. The option to limit
a text object's display height when zooming in was added. By limiting the
text size, it is possible to read the text even when zooming to small
areas. A bug was corrected in tracing when the hierarchy contained cells
from multiple libraries using different technology files. Hot key handling
was modified so that modifiers such as NumLock and ScrolLock can be
ignored.

by Incarnate (http://freshmeat.net/users/incarnate/)

Games/Entertainment
Games/Entertainment :: Arcade
Games/Entertainment :: First Person Shooters
About: Vendetta Online is a multi-platform 3D space-combat MMO for
Windows, Mac, Linux/32 and Linux/64. The game permits players to interact
in a vast online galaxy; fighting, trading, and mining their way to
success. A "twitch" type real-time combat model makes true player skill the
deciding factor instead of character advancement. Massive capital-ship
battles shake the foundations of the major nations at war, while others
struggle to push back the encroachment of the AI "Hives". A no-strings free
trial is available.
Changes: Five new missions were added, appearing in Itani territory. Seven
items now have greatly enhanced trade destinations in grayspace: Silksteel,
Consumer Robotics, and others. The EULA now displays the date it was last
modified. Mute votes no longer accumulate if the votee is already muted.
The jettison menu now uses comma-deliminated numbers. A couple of minor lua
errors were fixed.

[021] - xbindkeys 1.8.3
by Philippe Brochard (http://freshmeat.net/users/hocwp/)
Sat, Jan 24th 2009 20:24
Desktop Environment
About: xbindkeys is a program that associates keys or mouse buttons to
shell commands under X. After a little configuration, it can start many
commands with the keyboard (e.g. control+alt+x starts an xterm) or with the
mouse buttons.
Changes: A listen loop was added in the main loop. This fixes a bug where,
in the previous version, a keypress was needed to reload the configuration
file after a keybinding change. Now one can edit the configuration file and
keybindings are automatically updated after each save.

[022] - zsync 0.6
by Colin Phipps (http://freshmeat.net/users/cph/)
Sat, Jan 24th 2009 20:20
Internet :: WWW/HTTP
About: zsync is a implementation of rsync over HTTP. It allows updating of
files from a remote Web server without requiring a full download or a
special remote server application. It uses a metafile, which is created on
the server, to determine which parts of a file the user already has; it
then downloads the remaining parts via HTTP. No special server or Web
server module is needed. It also works with gzip files, and content on the
server can be compressed to further reduce download times.
Changes: Bugs were fixed, including a possible segmentation fault and
problems making zsync files for large compressed downloads. Also, the mtime
on downloaded files are now preserved.
