Thanks for the hint, changing line 94 in spikeProxyUI.py to something
like self.cachedir="/usr/share/spikeproxy/cache" fixed it...

Just in time... I was getting really sick of paros and it's missing
ability to work with Visual C++/ASP over SSL (as I'm getting sick of
people who programm ASP..)...

but still no answer from the maintainer...
