Hello again,

I've remembered another problem with PROM passwords.

I have sometimes seen Sun workstations sitting complacently with the line:

"Boot:"

It's expecting a device & file combination (I'm unsure of the exact syntax) to
aid it to find somewhere to boot from. These machines are diskless and so boot
from a remote server. They have a prom password and so the above prompt should
ideally never be given.

I imagine the cases where I've seen this are due to the machine running
bootparams is down. I expect such things may be simulated by simply unplugging
from the ethernet at critical times.
