in case anyone is interested, MS has posted a TCP/IP fix for reducing the
effects of SYN attacks on NT 3.51 and 4.0. It is available at
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes tree. Look under
usa/NT40/ for english.
