Whooweee, that's an awful lot of reading!!!
It seems the consensus is, experience 1st, books 2nd, ISC2 refresher 3rd. Or
is it books 1st and experience 2nd... At any rate, do all 3. The SRV books
seem to be getting mixed reviews. I am going to get them though because some
of my compadres have recomended it. I have been going down the ISC2 list and
hitting amazon to look at the reviews. If the review mentions CISSP I take
notice, if it raves about it for the CISSP I really take notice. Then I try
to find it in the local library/bookstore/security pro friends bookshelf and
peruse it myself. If it looks good, I think about buying it. It has been a
significant expense, over a thousand dollars so far. Of course this includes
my Cisco books, MS books, and various assorted other business related good
books. Good thing I have some training under my belt this year. It's all
tax deductable now.
