I have also taken both, and would agree with Anthony.
The SSCP is designed for Systems Administrators, so doesn't abstract the
system - you have to know either Unix or NT, and how to protect it and the
information it houses, so would be more inclined to ask questions about
backup & recovery, user policy administration, etc.
The CISSP is designed for InfoSec practitioners, so does not require
specific systems knowledge.

I sat for both tests on the same day. There were a few questions that were
identical on both tests. The SSCP test did focus more on details than the
CISSP did. SSCP asked some things like "What port and protocol does <some
specific Internet service> normally run on?" For the most part, the SSCP
test seemed to be a (somewhat more detail-oriented) subset of the CISSP
test.
