The books are chalk and cheese,so you need both. There could be a bias towards Hals' book if you want to understand the subject and a bias towards the other if you want to think you can pass the exam...nuff said?
recommendation - if it had already been reduced to a formula, someone would have written the book. I have at least thirty books and know very little imho.
