    I don't want to subscribe to the NYT, so I haven't read this.

    However, I've seen past articles on similar subjects, wherein the popular
    press exaggerated and distorted the original hypothesis so badly that the
    poor research scientist couldn't even recognize it any longer. Has anyone
    found any other sources related to this?
