At the risk of belaboring the obvious, I think it might be worthwhile
here to state that classroom instruction, like all educational
experiences, will tend to be most effective if the student actively
participates, both in class and between lectures.
I'm sure there is a good deal of relevant material presented in this and
other CISSP preparation courses, but in order to maximize the useful
knowledge gained, you need be aggressive about making certain that you
understand every point made and are able to apply it, at least mentally,
to real world situations. Absorb the material presented, translate it
into terms that are meaningful for you, and apply it in a familiar context.
At least, that's what works for me.
In other words, you get out of education what you put into it.
