I took the ISC2 seminar in January of this year and the test 4 weeks later.
The time between course and test was just about right for me. Allowed me time
to digest the seminar material and gather additional study material. The
seminar did not teach sufficient material to pass the test, but served to
focus my follow on study efforts (the intended result I beleive). I think
much longer than 4 weeks between the seminar and the test and material
retention would have suffered. Plus, there comes a point when you can only
cram in so much information over so broad a knowledge spectrum and then
confusion sets in.
