Does anyone know the difference between:

    1.
    The Information Security Handbook
    Krause and Tipton
    728 pages 4th edition (October 28, 1999)
    ISBN: 0849398290

    and

    2.
    Information Security Management Handbook 2001
    Krause and Tipton
    626 pages 4th edition Vol 2 (January 15, 2000)
    ISBN: 0849308003

Which is the best book for a CISSP study reference? Many people have
recommended the version from 1999, but I would image the version with most
    current material is better.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Chris,

There is no one book that will completely prepare you for the exam. The
recommended reading (and FYI the only book I used in preparation for the
exam) is _The Information Security Management Handbook, 4th Ed._ by Tipton &
Krause (CRC Press, ISBN 1-8493-9829-0). I also have a rather lengthy set
of study questions I made up while reviewing, based on content in this
book. They're available to anyone who wants them.

    Good luck,

    RGF
