    If it's the one by Krause and Tipton, then the people at Amazon definitely
    don't have a CISSP. The handbooks give you a nice rounded background in the
    subjects in the CBK. Compare the table of contents to that of the CBK.
    Notice any similarities. I've got three of them (yearly issues) and used
    them to study for the exam. They are a lot easier reading than the Computer
    Security Handbook Hutt/Bosworth/Hoyt). Another good basic book is Computer
    Security Basics by O'Reilly.

    Are you going to take the two week seminar? If you have the money, I
    recommend it. If not, do more research on the CBK subjects on the Internet.
    Some people also swear by the SRV practice exam (but there are reportedly a
    few errors). I also used several documents available at www.cccure.org .
