Rather than have 50 replies to the list on this, I'll just answer it.
The word on the street is that the CISSP is "50 miles wide" but only "2
inches deep" as compared to a vendor-specific cert (ccie-security,
checkpoint, etc.) which may be 2 inches wide and 50 miles deep or even the
SSCP or GIAC which are more technical and goes into more depth but on fewer
topics than the CISSP.

Nobody is going to give you any real information about the content of the
exam, as anyone that's taken it has agreed not to. :)
