Well, you could definitely read lots of books and pass the exam. After all,
the exam is designed to test your knowledge on the InfoSec field (be it the
first hand or second knowledge).
However, you would be (pleasently) surprised to find out that what you know
about InfoSec currently are probably just two of the ten domains to be tested
upon (Crpto and Telecom). You would have to read up real bad to get the the
scoop of the other 8 domains.
Oh, one more thing, you will need to prove you have three years of InfoSec
experience before they would let you write the exam, so you might want to put
it off for a couple of years...
