    Hi,

I recently took and passed the test (Woohoo!). I bought this book and also
the HISM book as well as using some of online study guides. While its true
that no one book will get you through the test, if I had to buy only one
book, this would be the one. Its a mile wide and only a few inches deep
but its organized well and it covers pretty much all the areas on the test,
albeit in a limited manner. They draw from alot of sources in creating
the test so this book wont help you learn the material if you dont already
know it but it will help you review it. Also for us non-governmental types,
its great for reviewing all the acroynyms that you dont see alot in
enterprise work (rainbow series, red book, orange book, etc)

My only complaint is a minor one. It sometimes jumps back and forth in
the domains and goes over material already covered, but this is also a plus
    because it reinforces the concepts.

If you need serious help in any of the domain areas, i suggest getting
books specific to that subject (i.e. Bruce Schriers Applied Crypto ) NOT
the HISM books which seems to me to cover specific applications and you had
to dig deep to figure out what concepts they were trying to illustrate that
    might be on the test.

    Good Luck!
