I took and passed them both. I took CISSP first. If you take CISA first, it contributes nothing to taking CISSP. CISSP is very useful for CISA. The CISA is audit and control orientated and some of the questions are fairly technical but nothing compared to CISSP. CISA is also pretty narrow. I am also told that most people fail CISA on the technical parts since the main initial audience (accountants) know little about this stuff.
Take CISSP first - great, broad foundation
