I was on Microsoft's web site and was looking up the new MCSA cert. and saw
a "Top 10 Hottest Cert's" list. CISSP was ranked 10th. I guess it is going
in the right direction (towards #1)!

Subject: Re: Spreading the awareness of CISSP

Singapore isn't the only country where CISSP awareness is lacking. I passed
my certification in November, and I've found since then that very few people
outside the Infosec community know of the cert.

I think there should be a lot more effort put toward marketing the cert and
its value to the IT community as a whole.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Hi,

I'm a Singaporean who has just got my CISSP 1 month ago on my first try.
However I find that alot of Singaporeans are not aware of this
certification. A few months ago, my VP of IT told us to think of a Core
Competence Plus (CC+) topic which everyone need to do. I told my VP that I'd
like to take the CISSP examination and this would be my CC+. Firstly, my VP
don't know what is CISSP and have never heard of ISC2. Secondly, he told me
that "This certification only benefit yourself and it doesn't benefit the
company in any way". His answers didn't affect me in any way. I flew to
HongKong with my friend to take the examination. Luckily, I pass but not for
my friend...he got 696 points! 4 more marks to pass..how unfortunate.

The question here is how can ISC2 spread the awarness of CISSP certification
in Singapore or in other countries.

    Thank you
