I am not (yet) a member of the CISSP community, so I cannot judge the
relative value of my recommendation to the CISSP exam, but I do work as a
professional in the field of information security, and consider this book a
very valuable resource for the study ::
"Cryptography and Network Security: Principles and Practice" by William
Stallings
http://williamstallings.com/Security2e.html
IMHO, this is one of the best books I have on the subject of "Cryptography
and Network Security" ... it won the 1999 TEXTY award for "Best Computer
Science and Engineering Textbook", so I conclude that there is something to
be said about it. I do not believe anyone else has recommended this text,
so I will forward my recommendation to the list for scrutiny.
Does anyone else have this one on their bookshelf? (What do you think of
it?)
Is the information in this textbook relevant to the CISSP examination?
Should it be on the "CISSP Study Guide List"?
Best regards,
Brennan Bakke
