Check out distributed.net - there aren't any current factoring
projects, but they're one of the main sites for such things.
The Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search is of course at www.mersenne.org -
it is factoring big primes, though it's not a crypto project.
And their web site has pointers to other projects.
