Bruce,

what are you meaning by a (http://www.counterpane.com/whitepaper.html):

The Sentry is built on top of a dedicated computer sitting on your
network. This computer is provided by Counterpane, and runs a
proprietary and secure version of Linux. The Sentry also contains
  ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
self-monitoring software designed to detect attacks against itself and
   alert Socrates.

How can you keep a GNU/Linux system (or even the Linux Kernel) proprietary
while placing that system at a customer site? By providing the
binaries (even on the hard disk of an locked up box) you have to
provide the source code too.

Just curious,

  Werner

p.s.
Your service looks like a pretty nice system.
