Proprietary in this case means we've been doing work ourselves, as opposed
to merely changing the config files. (But we've been doing that, too.)

You're right, it's a bad word. I'll see if we can get it changed post haste.

We're calling our kernel "CLUNIX" and we *will* be releasing the whole
thing under some suitable open source license.
