CVE to Host Booth at "Homeland Security for Networked Industries (HSNI)
2006 Conference & Expo"

MITRE is scheduled to host a CVE/OVAL/CME exhibitor booth at "Homeland
Security for Networked Industries (HSNI) 2006 Conference & Expo" on
January 9-11, 2006 at Walt Disney World Resort, in Orlando, Florida,
USA. The conference is "the first of its kind to encourage
cross-industry collaboration on network security issues pertinent to
America's critical infrastructures [or those] networks which serve as
the backbone for daily life for the American public." It is "an
opportunity to listen and network with IT decision makers from a variety
of networked industries including utilities, telecom and transportation
and well as government."

The event will include keynote and featured speakers from leading IT
decision-makers in the government, telecom, transportation, and
utilities industries -- as well as from leading network security vendors
-- and will focus on "opportunities for improved security and spending
in the area of network security."

In addition, breakout sessions will address "all areas of network
security, including IT investment, government and industry-specific
solutions, policy, and the latest technology trends." Other topics will
include network security challenges for telecom, utilities, and
transportation; getting the most of your information security
investment; spending for network security solutions in major industries;
government spending on homeland security as it pertains to network;
industry risk: financial, technical, and public risk mitigation; fraud;
data security; redundancy and back-up network solutions; case studies;
and looking to the future of secured networks such as broadband over
power, VoIP, and Wi-Fi. Please stop by Booth 117 and say hello.
