I've just finished reading an article called 'Whitehat, greyhat,
blackhat'
http://www.fcw.com/article90994-10-03-05-Print
An interesting quote, and the reason for my email to the list:
<snip>
"...But in general, hackers secure their computers better than the rest
of the computing community. Government and industry can learn from their
hacking techniques and protection skills to improve information
technology security, experts say."
</snip>
*makes the Jon Stewart 'whaaaaaaa?' voice*
I've known a lot of very sloppy hackers in my life... that said, do you
guys think that the majority of hackers have much more 'secure
networks'? I propose that hacking and 'defence in depth', or ensuring a
networks compliance are very, _very_ different animals.
Thoughts?
