WASHINGTON -- The missing laptop has been found.
The head of the Department of Veterans Affairs said officials have
recovered a laptop computer loaded with data on millions of U.S. veterans
and service members.
The laptop was stolen last month, stoking fears that up to 26.5 million
veterans were vulnerable to identity theft.
VA Secretary Jim Nicholson said there's "reason to be optimistic." He
called the recovery "a very positive note in this very tragic incident."
