State insurance regulators say some Ohio consumers are affected by a data
security breach at Hartford Life Insurance.

The company has misplaced three backup tapes containing sensitive personal
information. The Hartford says the problem was discovered September 27th.

Ohio Insurance Director Mary Jo Hudson has asked the company for more
information, including the number of Ohioans involved.
