[Dataloss] Los Angeles hospital struggles with identity theft, possible fraud

Edward Prunchunas, CFO of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los
Angeles, has written to more than 1,000 patients to warn them that a
former hospital employee has stolen their personal information,
possibly in an attempt to commit insurance fraud. Hospital officials
said they will re-examine their security policies, including the way
they monitor employees who have access to patient records.
