[Dataloss] announcement: DataLossDB Outsourcing

In July 2008, we announced the beginning of DataLossDB (after a migration from
attrition.org) and have generally been pleased with the well-wishes from
mail list subscribers and the minimal support we've gathered from non-OSF
members. We appreciate your contributions, and we hope they will continue
to add to the data set.

However, within the last week, OSF has made the decision to outsource
data input to our Primary Sources section to contractors in India.

And no, we're not kidding. So far, our Indian contractors have contributed
more to our Primary Sources section in the last five days than each and every
one of you combined. They're working for bottom-dollar, and have added matches
to dozens of incidents and primary sources while most of the people subscribed
to this list have done, well, nothing.

348 / 1047 primary sources classified

That was under 300 classified three days ago. Apparently, money talks and
rhetoric (nice site, love your work, etc) runs the marathon.

It's sad, really.
