CHICAGO (WBBM) -- The city of Chicago now says more than 60,000 people may
be at risk of having their identities stolen - after a laptop computer was
stolen from an employee of a company that handles billing for Chicago Fire
Department ambulances.

Anyone who's been transported by Chicago Fire Department ambulance should
be concerned, says the city revenue department.

The billing for ambulance transports is outsourced to a company called
DeZonia, and two months ago, somebody broke into the car of a DeZonia
employee and stole a laptop that contained personal information about tens
of thousands of people.

So DeZonia sent a letter to 63-thousand people who'd used Fire Department
ambulances, warning them.
