The PCMCIA-HOWTO has a section with some specific instructions for how
to get better information about system lockups; you might try those
things. Based just on this information, I would suspect that you may
have an IO port conflict, and you may find that fiddling with the IO
port windows in /etc/pcmcia/config.opts and/or rebuilding PCMCIA with
the "PnP BIOS support" option enabled fixes the problem.
