Hi everyone,
Suppose a STA shut down occasionally or ran out of service range, how is
the associated AP deauthenticating the STA? I've checked out the 802.11
standard without any luck.
In order to minimize and refresh the authentication table on AP, there
are two ways to achieve such purposes, time-threshold (similar to the ARP
process) or broadcast (similar to the routing update). So, which one is the
AP taken to refresh/update its authentication table? If AP uses the
threshold, is there any hold-down timer and/or flush timer? If AP takes the
second strategy, what is the broadcast period and what is the frame type?
Please do help me and correct my errors. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Chiang
