I have a WGB340 and am having trouble passing through real addresses.
I have reconfigured the bridge at least 50 times. and have even uploaded
the most recent firmware, but still no success.
the bridge is supposed to be part of an existing .192 subnet to allow 8 more
of the
addresses to pass through for use in the hub at which it is attached.
So far I have been able to associate with the Lucent AP and ping around the
outside world from the bridge.
I can access (for programming) the bridge internally via http and telnet
with a machine that belongs to the subnet.
However the machine that accesses the bridge, can not access the outside
world.
I have the feeling that it is routing perhaps, but I am thinking it may have
something to with Lucent AP ?
Trying the same scenario in a "Cisco" environment and with WEP on. The unit
functions normally.
It is all a blur now and hope and pray for help \:)
Example setup:
XXX.XXX.XXX.214 IP
255.255.255.192 Subnet
XXX.XXX.XXX.193 GW
IP routing table comes up with..
network destination Mask flags
default XXX.XXX.XXX..193 000.000.000.000 S N
I am not sure what information is useful for diagnosing, so please let me
know if
I should provide more. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can
offer.
Kevin
