    Hi all,

This may not be the first email about the WEP. We all know that it has
flaws and will be replaced by WEP2 soon (but don't know when).

So what I am thinking is to create my own encryption which is more
secure than WEP, or add a encryption algorithm to strengthen the
    default encryption (which is WEP).

I don't really think that RADIUS and/or FreeSwan (VPN server) will help
much. What we really need to fix is to add an encryption at the driver
level. I am thinking of implementing a security protocol and adding an
    encryption algorithm to the driver.

    I have some questions.

    1. Is WEP alsgorithm implemented in the firmware?

    2. Is there any way to change the WEP algorithm?

    3. What is the way that I can add an encryption algorithm to the driver
if the WEP is really in the firmware?

Thanks in advance for your comment.
