    All

I just was looking for information on the DWL stuff on dlink's website and
they have m22 MB pdf files for both the DWL 650 (wireless pcmcia card) and the
DWL 500 (pci adapter) (44 MB of download, but hey) and on the DWL 500 page
they have a downloadable linux driver, I grabbed htis and it is weirdly
entirely source code, under the Mozilla licence, I am just now downloading the
DWL 650 manual and will be able to report further in a while, just it is
interesting to see the hardware seems to be supported.

Of course now I actually look for dlink stuff more carefully in the wireless
howto I find it in the entry for "10 Intersil PrismII based cards (Compaq,
Samsung, D-Link, LinkSys and many others)" and it mentions the MPL code and
all that. Oh well I am still hoping davids driver supports the card at some
point. Although I have given up for now on trying to upgrade firmware from
linux and found someone with a windows laptop who doesnt mind me sticking the
card in and running the update exe file I got from the dlink website.

            See You
                Steve
